I had the honor to speak as an invited panelist about the state of healthcare in rural South Carolina. The panel discussion was hosted by the University of South Carolina School of Law, Health Law Society, Black Law School Student and American Constitution Society. We touched on topics to include social determinants of health, health disparities impact black maternal health and mortality and access to care issues. Other panelists included:

Julie Linton, MD, Pediatrician (2nd from left)

Leroy Robinson, MD, Obstetrician (middle right)

Gilda Cobb-Hunter BS, MA, LISW , Representative (middle left)

The discussion was moderated by Professor Jacqueline R. Fox (far left)

Check out the video clip below of me sharing my thoughts about the importance of financial assistance policies and social determinant of health informed policies.
