May is Mental Health Awareness Month
In my last post, I declared my new commitment to being more consistent with blogging and aligned it with Mental Health Awareness Month. I shared Mental Health America's theme and graphic for this year: Risky Business. Since writing that post yesterday, I came across the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)'s theme and graphics for this year: I'm into Mental Health. Inspired. Informed. Involved.
While Risky Business is an important topic to discuss, NAMI's theme appeals to me more. It allows for a broader discussion. I also do not have significant experience working with risky behaviors so I feel more competent commenting on mental health from the "Inspired. Informed. Involved" point of view.
With that being said, my post this month will stem from that theme and still incorporate self-awareness and self-growth.
In regards to my own self-growth, this is my second post since declaring my commitment! I am proud of that and I hope to do my first video soon. I am having a bad hair day today. More to come on the topic! Stay tuned!
